It is a pleasure to announce that the Department of Statistics, Institut
Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, Indonesia is going to organize an
“Workshop on Bayesian Modelling”. The workshop will be held on November
24-26, 2014, in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.

Day 1. Introduction to the Bayesian thinking with WinBUGS:
•Introduction to Bayesian paradigm.

•Implementation: Demonstration of WinBUGS
•More on MCMC (diagnostics, developing Gibbs & Metropolis algorithms)

Day 2. Bayesian analysis using R
•A brief introduction to R
•Bayesian warm-up: Binomial model; Normal models
•Hierarchical models
•Regression
Day 3. Advanced Topics using WinBUGS or R or other softwares
•Intro to Hierarchical Modeling (construction of hierarchical models,
WinBUGS case studies)
•Meta-analysis, latent variable and mixture models
•Spatial models, Bayesian Networks.
•Bayesian Hidden Markov models
•Bayesian regime switching volatility models in Finance
